Collis Journal

Hello and welcome to the journal. I am in the process of starting a new business alongside my work, and I feel it will be beneficial to document my journey. I like to have these stories from my startup to help myself learn from my mistakes and recognize my accomplishments.

These will be posted as building logs throughout the blog and also published on YouTube as videos. This is not advice, and I am not claiming to know everything about business. I haven’t formally studied it; I’ve read maybe a dozen books, which have helped me navigate my story to this point.

I want these building logs to tell my story of lessons as they happen in real time, which could help anyone anticipate what may come their way when building their first business. The upload schedule for each building log will be flexible — each log will be written as it happens. There might be five or six lessons in a month, or only one or two.

So, with that short introduction to the journal, I look forward to posting the first building log, 001: The Importance of Starting Now. .
